CD4013 - Dual D-type Flip-Flop IC - DIP-14 Package

The D-type Flip Flop is by far the most important of the clocked flip-flops as it ensures that ensures that inputs S and R are never equal to one at the same time. The D-type flip flop are constructed from a gated SR flip-flop with an inverter added between the S and the R inputs to allow for a single D (Data) input. The CD4013 or IC-4013 is a CMOS logic chip with two D-Type (DATA) Flip-flops. A clock pulse flow to C (clock pin), will store the data at the D input. Connect clock and both Q output to make a toggle flip-flop for counting. It is positive edge triggered flip flop hence the output will be changed only on applying positive edge of the clock.
